CHECK-IN EQUIPMENT
The check-in equipment varies depending on the type of transport as well as the medium it uses. Vehicle check-in involves the use of validators. On-board computers with passenger terminals are utilized for driver check-in. In rail transportation or BRT, stationary check-in devices like station validators or turnstiles are employed.
Paper tickets and digital documents can be bought through ticket vending machines or multifunction terminals. These may be movable in cars or stationary at bus stops.
The needs of the client or operator constantly guide the design of the particular check-in system. There are numerous solutions available, all of which have unique advantages.
